Visionaries of style, wellness & partnership

At first glance, My Urban Eyes looks like an editorial set for a luxury eyewear campaign: polished lines, designer frames, confident energy. But beneath the sleek surface lies something deeper: a business built on compassion, creativity, and connection.

For founders Dr. Dana Kindberg and Carri Green, redefining optical care meant “merging what we love — helping people see clearly and helping them express who they are through beautiful eyewear,” Dana explains. “It’s about blending wellness and confidence with creativity.” Their vision (pun intended) is less about fixing eyesight and more about helping people see themselves fully.

Holistic Vision, Human Impact

After more than two decades in the field and numerous humanitarian eye-care missions, Dr. Dana’s approach stems from a profound truth.

“My philosophy has always been that eye care is really people care,” she shares. “I’m not just improving eyesight; I’m helping people live more fully.”

She recalls fitting a child with glasses during one of these missions, the moment her world snapped into focus. That instant changed her practice forever. With different languages, different customs, different landscapes," Dana says, "they can all be bridged with compassion, empathy and, of course, a genuine smile.

Carri brings a different kind of expertise. One shaped by athletics, culinary artistry, and creativity. Where Dana is calm and precise, Carri is dynamic, intentional, magnetic.

“I think the secret is just being real,” Carri says. “When you’re genuinely interested in people and you love what you do, it creates an energy others can feel.”

Opposites, Aligned

Together, they make magic. Dana’s the string to my balloon,” Carri jokes, and it shows. Their business thrives because their partnership does. “We’ve learned that great partnerships don’t mean being the same,” Carri says. “Dana is calm, thoughtful, and incredibly focused. I’m a little more spontaneous and creative — somehow, it just works.”

Dana adds, “At home and in business, it's really about respect and knowing when to lead and when to listen. Carri pushes us to dream bigger, and I make sure we land safely when we jump.”

Luxury with Intention

Recently named the only Elite Cartier Dealer in Washington State, Urban Eyes reached an extraordinary milestone, one that demanded integrity and excellence at every turn.

“Cartier selection is rigorous,” Dana notes. “They look at everything from your design aesthetic to the culture you create. For us, it was about proving that we share their values.”

Carri adds, We don’t just hand someone a frame. We listen. We observe. We help them find something that feels like them.

Seeing Beyond Sight

“True vision is about so much more than prescriptions,” Dana says. “When someone knows that you notice who they are and what matters to them, it transforms the experience.” Whether for eye health or personal style, Urban Eyes operates on the belief that people should leave feeling seen.

Style with Purpose, and a Little “Bougie by Proxy”

Next year, they’ll step into New Face’s fashion, gala and event ecosystem. A move that excites them both.

“It’s surreal but so fun,” says Carri. “We get to be bold, creative and make an impact. My son told me, ‘You’re getting bougie.’ I said… ‘Bougie by proxy, still me!’”

Dana laughs. It’s about supporting Carri’s creativity and seeing our brand through a new lens.”

The Legacy They’re Building

Carri sums up their mission beautifully, “I hope our partnership inspires others to see what’s possible when creativity, vision, and passion come together. From the moment someone walks through our doors, they’re warmly welcomed.”

Dr. Dana offers the final word, “We want people to walk out of Urban Eyes feeling truly seen, confident in their vision, their style, and themselves. Eye care can be personal, meaningful, transformative.”

And now, a little love story…

Carri knew early. “Honestly, I knew it the first time I met Dana. I couldn’t stop thinking about her.”

Dana felt it too.

She challenges me, inspires me and keeps life fun.  I knew she was My person because I couldn't imagine a day that didn't start and end with her.  She makes me laugh! I instantly smile seeing her face first thing in the morning.

Classic fashion film romance meets real-world partnership. Breakfast at Tiffany’s meets what’s next on the horizon. Love that sees clearly, jumps boldly, and balances beautifully... just like the eyewear they curate.

Legacy in Focus

Holistic care. Elevated style. Human connection at every glance. That’s Urban Eyes.

And that’s Dr. Dana & Carri, the duo helping people not only see better…but believe in what they see.
